Room 204 [early evening]

Ben returned to the room from his afternoon salle training, dropped off dinner, and headed immediately to the shower.

He returned to two dozen messages on his comlink.

"Sithspit," he groaned as he read. "Who's in charge now?"

He should probably change out of a towel soon...

"Don't go too short," Ben replied.

Ender laughed softly. "I thought the long hair made me look like a sheepdog," he said.

Ben kissed him again because he was there. "Not too long either," he said, "but I like something to play with."

"You mean tug on," Ender joked, "and ruffle into my eyes."

"Yep, that," Ben agreed, grinning at him.

Ender sighed at him. "You're a brat," he said fondly. "You're lucky you're good in bed."

"You're no slouch there either," Ben said.

"I try," Ender said, and stretched to put an end to the slowly-forming crick in his back. "Mmm."

He was going to be a little stupid for a while yet.

Ben smirked at him. "Need another massage?"

"The last one was on the short side," Ender said.

He was not quite equipped to smirk back, so Ben just got a dry look and a smile.

"Didn't hear any complaints at the time," Ben replied, grinning.

"You did do some nice things afterwards," Ender admitted. "I should have never given you that book. You're going to get dangerous."

Ben kissed his jaw. "Maybe," he agreed, "but there wasn't anything in the book about this." He trailed his fingers over the back of Ender's neck.

Ender sighed, his eyes fluttering closed for a moment. "That did once plug straight into my nervous system," he mumbled.

"I promise to only use that information for good," Ben replied, kissing him.

Ender slid his fingers along Ben's jaw, kissing him back. "You'd better," he said. "Aren't you happy you ceased flailing?"

"Very," Ben said, pulling back slightly so he could smile. "You seemed pretty pleased with it too."

"I'm not unhappy with your performance to date, Skywalker," Ender said with a little laugh. "And one day you'll remember that, too."

"One day," Ben agreed, resting his head on Ender's chest and listening to the heartbeat, "but probably not soon."

"No rush."

Ender reached out and gently combed the hair away from Ben's face.

"I don't mind reminding you."

Ben sighed softly and curled closer. "I don't mind being reminded. It's good cardio."

...yeah, he wasn't exactly firing on all cylinders yet.

"I'm suddenly getting the feeling we're talking about two very different things," Ender said, leaning over to kiss him on the temple.

Hush. He looked adorable.

Ben smiled at that. "Probably," he said. "You fuzzed my brain pretty good there."

"You were pretty out of it," Ender said. "So... that worked."

"A lot," Ben agreed. His smile turned mischievous. "And if I ever want to leave somewhere early, all I'll have to do is kiss that one spot on your neck..."

That's not using that information for good, Ben.
