Secluded spot in the Preserve [afternoon]
After the weirdness of the morning, Ben was glad that he and Tahiri had agreed to go for a picnic far, far away from everyone else.
Off the island entirely would have suited him just fine, really.
Ben set a blanket on the ground along with more food than should be necessary even for him, then shucked off his cloak, sat down, closed his eyes and tried to meditate.
It wasn't really going well.
[OOC: for the girl!]

"More?" he asked, scraping his teeth against her collarbone.

At the moment she couldn't quite get enough of running her hands over his skin, even if she couldn't explain just why it was so intriguing.

This made sense. This wasn't as mixed up and insane as whatever this morning on the roof with Ender had been. This...was a lot faster than he and Tahiri normally moved.

"You know it," Tahiri breathed, tangling the fingers of one hand up in his hair and squirming as she projected a much stronger (and needier, even) wave of affection toward him than she usually would.
Still not paying any attention to the rustling of that tree somewhere nearby.

"Sitting up might help," she mumbled. "Just temporarily, I mean."
The rustling continued, along with a tiny creaking sound. Tahiri still didn't care.
no subject
That would be a problem later.
"Better?" he asked, suddenly a little shy.
no subject
"Much." The scars only added to the fact that she thought he looked really good like this, the implications of which were the furthest thing from her mind.
Now it had been several whole seconds since she'd been touching him, and that needed to be fixed as soon as possible. She sat up and leaned forward to kiss him, much less gently than usual.

He was going to be so embarrassed later.

"Should have worn my robes," she gasped once she pulled away for a moment, then decided the moment was too long and nearly knocked her forehead against his when she went back to kissing him.
She'd be mortified later on, yes. Right now she was having too much fun tracing circles on his chest with her fingertips.

He ignored the increased noises coming from the trees around them.

Of course, there were other slight . . . ramifications to being a pretty strong telekinetic making out with another one, at least under heightened hormonal circumstances. It was a shame neither of them had apparently thought of that, or remembered what had happened with the pins at the bowling alley.
Or was paying any attention whatsoever to the very ominous creaking of the trees.
no subject
Which, well, they were close to doing.

It was really too bad Tahiri's attention was completely focused on kissing a trail along Ben's jaw -- the part of it that wasn't too busy going crazy about his breath against her ear, anyway.
Which was why she wasn't paying any attention to her danger sense, or she'd have realized one of the trees was crashing down on just the right trajectory to --
She didn't have enough reaction time to be indignant at the the circumstances, unfortunately.

Right now, though, she was a little too, oh, unconscious to be either.

"Who hit me with an asteroid?"

Any second now their relative state of undress would catch up to her. Really.
